August Book List

Image
I know it is short notice, but here are the books we will be reading in August. Below the book number, you will also see the week that we will be reading that specific book. My plan is to start reading the book on a Sunday.  Then on Monday, we will discuss what we read on Sunday. On Tuesday, discuss what we read on Monday, and so forth. Then on the next Sunday we will discuss Saturday's reading which will be the end of the book, we will then start reading the next book. I know this a lot of reading. If you want to read every other book, or read at your own pace, that is totally fine. Still make sure to comment on the book you are reading even if it is a few weeks back. I would like this blog to turn into a community where we can talk about all of the books that we are currently reading and have read in the past. I will continue commenting and responding to comments on old books and hope others will as well. Let me know what you think of August's book list! -Z

The Beginning

First off, I am excited to get Book Club Z up and running! A little bit of background on Book Club Z... I love reading and I read a ton of books. Having said that, I'm one of those people who can't watch a movie twice. I mean, I already know what is going to happen. How is that even entertaining? Anyways, I feel the same way when it comes to books, once I have read it once, I am good. However, I wanted to create a system where I can reference the main ideas and key takeaways from each book. Initially, I began taking notes and kept them all in a notebook. I later realized it would be far more interesting to discuss the ideas with other people - rather than keep all the notes to myself. So I started Book Club Z.  My initial thought for the blog is I will read one book per week. Each day I will write about the previous days chapters. That is where you come in! Please leave your comments and thoughts. I learn so much more when I discuss these books rather than just read them
